The LPC does not sell paddles. We purchase demo paddles from Selkirk for you to try! We currently have more than 20 Selkirk paddles available. Demo paddles are available at no cost to LPC members.

POWER
Power players dominate the court through force and speed, focusing on hard, fast shots that challenge their opponent’s reaction time. Power paddles should have a thinner core of around 13mm or less, a midweight of around 8.0 ounces, a longer face and handle and a paddle face of fiberglass or carbon fiber. Power paddles are designed to offer more pace on groundstrokes and additional pop on volleys, but often require more effort when making controlled, precise shots.

CONTROL
Control players excel in strategy and precision, preferring to outsmart their opponents with meticulously-placed shots. Accuracy and reliability define their playing style, as control players rely on skillful ball placement over brute force.
Control paddles should have a thicker core of 16mm or more, a lighter weight (less than 8.0 ounces), a shorter, wider face and handle and face materials such as graphite or carbon fiber. These features support finesse, but require more force to generate powerful putaways.

HYBRID
Hybrid players are versatile, adapting their playing style to the dynamics of each game. They balance between power and precision, making them unpredictable and flexible competitors, Hybrid paddles used a balanced composition, featuring intermediate specs from both power and control designs. They typically have a core thickness of 14-15mm, a medium weight around 7.8-8.2 ounces and face materials including carbon fiber, fiberglass and graphite. Although they offer a nice middle ground, hybrid paddles do not rank highest in either the power or control categories.
